Re: Reliability of DS18x20 temperature sensors
I Think I've found the problem - the old compiler uses and old ONEWIRE.bas - which has this Function for OWOUT which returns temp:- FUNCTION OWOUT (pin, OUTcnt, BYREF OUTlist as string) DIM temp as integer DIM i as integer INTERRUPT (0) temp = ow_reset(pin) i = 0 do if OUTcnt = 0 then if OUTlist(i) ...

But even this example from the help file on owout (i've inserted the main: and end) on ARMbasic[9.36k] present = owout (7 ,5, outbytes) -ERROR D:/OneDrive/Sisyphus/House Monitor/new1.bas: 12: Expected numeric Function present = owout (7 ,5, outbytes) -ERROR D:/OneDrive/Sisyphus/House Monitor/new1.ba...

Re: Reliability of DS18x20 temperature sensors
Sorry. I should have explained more. They are only subroutines within a larger program where all the #includes are at the top of the program as well as all the variable definitions. I just posted them for Mozobata to have a look at. The program has been working for years, it runs my solar heating, h...

Re: Reliability of DS18x20 temperature sensors
I've attaced the CRC code I've been using for years, as well as my temperature reading subroutine. It reads one temperatue each time its called and initiates the next conversion for the next time. So in my case it takes 5 calls to get all my temperatures. I call it once a minute. [attachment=0]Tempe...

size of variable names and compiled code size
Hello
Does the length of variable names affect the size of code loaded into an ARMweb. How are the names resolved between the compiled code and that used in web pages?
Thanks

ARMweb webpage with synch of RTC and displaying print page
The RTC on my ARMweb runs aboout a minute fast each day, so I've got my webpage to return the time of day in the CGI string each time it auto refreshes. I've included plenty of comments in the .htm listing; hopefully it's clear enough. Also print statements are output to the file txta.htm on the ARM...

CRC checker for OneWire
The code attached checks the CRC of the returned data from dallas onewire devices and returns 0 if no errors are found, -1 if all zeros are input or the number of bits remaining set at the end of the cycle. It assumes the returned data from OWIN is in an Inbytes array of 0-8 = 9 bytes, as per the OW...
