I d/l'd the crimson 3.70 (as the SVM latest caused issues with installation)
CE 3.70 so far (two files !) has worked.
I'll look at JEdit.

Well, my ACMP06.bas reads and prints the SYS Tick [as far as I can tell] rapidly 3 times
and it shows it as a down counter ??!!!!
the issue is it looks like a down counter in the LPC812 eval chip

Okay - get to type this all over again -I started to reply ; I had my dinner ; and by the time I added more and did a "submit" - it timed out and lost it all re: firmware version - it came on the eval 812 my gif shows ARMBasic as (9.32c) and kernel as (8.32a) , BT was just downloaded from your futur...

was RTFM and found a page that said the requirements for ARMBasic included this:
"The ARMbasic compiler runs on the Windows PC, all versions after Windows XP.."
My understanding is that it is not guaranteed to work on XP .... is that correct??
Might explain some of the issues I've had.

Wow, evaluating is challenging , so is learning I now got the 'firmware popup' BUT it is a different error code !!! was having trouble with ACMP03a. kept hanging going into a SUB (would usually only show 'exe' OR the <stop> button was red) SO I started a fresh ACMP05 - no cut and paste or copy/dupli...
