Subject icon appears to scroll

basically miscellaneous, if it doesn't fit another sub-forum enter it here, we might even promote it to its own sub-forum

Bruce, I can't find this in the FAQ.

What does it mean when a subject icon (far left, circle with "text lines") appears to scroll?

I seem to only see it on multi-page subjects, but find no particular thing unique about the posts.

That is a phpBB question, that I don't really know the answer to, I believe it indicates an active topic, though their definition of that is unknown to me.

The scrolling icon indicates a popular or 'hot' topic - the default threshold is 25 messages. A forum administrator can set the value of the 'Popular topic threshold' in the Administrator Control Panel > Board Configuration > Post Settings
