Compatibility issues with win 7 and win 10

I was running basic tools on my windows 7 machine and things worked fine. I moved the program over to a new windows 10 machine and get: COM problem Unable to communicate ?Also compiling failed? DO I need to download a different version of Basic Tools for my windows 10 machine or possibly update the drivers ? Any help is appreciated.

It's worth updating BASICtools from our site.

We've been running Win 10 since it was available.

Can you give me more details? Which board, which software version...

Yes the chipset has the # LPC1756. Unfortunately the person that put everything together is no longer with the company. Later today I will try to install the most recent software. Then I'll try again.
