There are examples of this in the BASIC libraries, where it is normally done in
line using the builtin TIMER.

START = TIMER
WHILE (TIMER-START < numOfMicroseconds)
LOOP

It could be done as a SUB

SUB WAIT_USECONDS (numOfMicroseconds)
DIM START
START = TIMER
WHILE (TIMER-START < numOfMicroseconds)
LOOP
END SUB

There is a WAITMICRO(x)

WAITMICRO was not in the original version, but was added about 6-7 years ago. Other than the actual TIMER examples I should probably update those.
