Is there a way to change the port the web server listens to?
If not can we ad this or is there a hack I can apply at bit level to force the
use of another port?

No, not in the standard code, we could add it for an OEM but have no intention
to do this now.

If the reason you want to do this is to access over the web, the better way is
to use the remapping of ports in your router, which most routers support.
