He||o all,
I have my Coridium PROStart plugged in via mini USB into my computer.
Upon opening BASICtools, the device under Options > Serial Port only appears as com1.
I am 99.75% sure I installed all the necessary drives.
Thanks

PROStart only appears as com1 in BASICtools
Re: PROStart only appears as com1 in BASICtools
com1 is typically a built in UART in older computers
USB-serial devices from FTDI will show up as all CAPs in the list of serial ports.
What type of USB serial device are you using? What version of Windows?
If the driver is not installed run the program in /Program Files (x86)/Coridium/Windows Drivers
This is covered in the trouble shooting section of the BASICtools -- Getting Started

I am using a mini usb to usb cable I had lying around. Yes I have installed the driver from that directory.
Also I've read through the trouble shooting section but what I read didn't seem to help my situation, that is why I posted here.

So for this USB-serial cable "you had lying around"
Who made it?
Do you have their drivers?
Does it show up in the Device Manager as a port (as outlined in the Trouble shooting pages)?
Have you ever used it on the PC you are trying it with, and does it still work that way?
Have you checked out this in the forum?
